Welcome to Mitcham Thunder Basketball Club

Thanks for checking us out!

Mitcham Thunder Basketball Club is a community-focused club based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. We are a not-for-profit club run by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive basketball experience. Since our establishment in 2016, we’ve grown into a welcoming home for players of all ages and abilities, providing opportunities for beginners to learn the basics and for juniors to compete in local and representative competitions. At Mitcham Thunder, we believe basketball is more than just a game, it’s a way to develop teamwork, resilience, and a love of sport in a supportive environment.

Our programs are designed to help players build skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging, whether on the court or within our wider club community. We offer pathways for development, fun competitions, and social engagement, ensuring every player has the chance to grow both as an athlete and as part of a team. With a strong focus on community, mentorship, and personal growth, Mitcham Thunder continues to provide an enjoyable, safe, and inspiring environment for all who join our club.
